jetdrvr:
I've seen so many posts, and so many websites, since October that I just can't keep them straight any more.
One of the card providers is unique in that they are priced, to some extent, by the days flown, and not the hours flown. I don't remember which provider it is, but if you go back through the posts to this blog over the last week or two, someone made reference to that.
If you make two to five stops in a day, and the last is back "home", it might be worth your time to investigate.
Also, we're in the mountain time zone - JetSuite is a good provider for a flight we do three or four times a year: +/- two hours outbound, several hours on the ground, and +/- 2.5 hours back. Because it's all in one day, they give a good discount for the return flight. Food for thought.

Thanks for the information hrofcr. The provider mentioned is indeed Executive Airshares. They offer a program based on a certain number of days of use per year as opposed to a set number of hours. This works well for me because they don't care how many hours you use during your day, within duty day restrictions of course. I tend to travel a set number of days per year on business, but the hours are harder to forecast. I like access to the King Airs as well. Short hops at a really cheap rate! Met with the sales rep this morning and saw a couple of the planes. Very clean, the pilot was most informative and cordial.
The downside is they only serve customers within a certain distance of their bases of operations. Luckily I'm just inside the boundary! Certainly worth a try and I'm scheduling a demo flight within the next couple of weeks. Prices are very only slightly more than Avantground, but the Phenom 300 is much faster, better baggage space and I like the seating arrangement better too.
Spoke with another customer of their's who happened to be coming in from a flight while we were at the airport. Nothing but glowing comments about his experience. Getting a lot of offers from everyone right now as I'm sure everyone else is. Just a little more cautious than I was the last time. That's why I'm asking for feedback from anyone with other experiences in here.

I happened to see your message and wanted to let you know that I work for Flexjet and would like to send you some of our information if you would like. We have a Jet Card program that allows you to pick whichever of our aircraft that best fits your mission and then pay that rate. Our smallest aircraft is the Learjet 40XR and the all in pricing right now is right at $6,800 per hour. My email is lee.richards@flexjet.com is you would like to see some details. I hope things work out for you in exiting Avant Air.
Kindest regards,
Lee

Jet Linx is a good option to review if you are not familiar. Managed fleet of aircraft, ARG/US Platinum, national program. We do not have the turbo props like Executive Airshares, but do offer guaranteed service on light jet (Hawker 400XP, CJs, etc) and mid size jets (Hawker 800XP, Excel/XLS, Learjet 60, etc). Rates for light jets range from $3,500 to $4,500 all in including taxes and fuel. Many Avantair clients are also customers which joined to utilize the jet aircraft when the trip made sense. We are close enough in pricing to Avantair, and deposit levels to join are very low compared to other programs. Please take a look at www.jetlinx.com/denver or 303-762-1033. Be glad to visit with anyone looking for a suitable option. Please ask for Jon or Matt.

You can see if JetSuite is a fit for you by pricing your exact trips at www.jetsuite.com Prices are instant and guaranteed, no need to go through a sales person for a quote. 2,000 airports available. Phenoms are cheap in the West, CJs in the East. Midwest flights are expensive. You'll see retail prices. Member prices are a few hundred $ per hour lower. ARGUS Platinum and wifi included. No need to buy a membership though, try one and see if you like it. Best wishes to all.

Have used you in past with great service. Surprised to receive a quote at $7,000 an hour earlier this month for two one hour flights on the East Coast with a CJ. Do you have your authorization to fly into Ocean Reef? Many Avantair members there.

Thank you. Best rates are NY-FL and within Northeast, and of course West Coast & Texas. Prices depend on the market, are not flat hourly. Going out of those lanes is costly for us and we pass the cost on through the positioning cost component in the airport fee.
Again, any flight can be priced instantly at jetsuite.com. Reductions for same-day round trips are calculated on the site too.
Of course, our salespeople would be delighted to explain more 866-779-7770
We'll have access to Ocean Reef and other shorter fields almost certainly by September, possibly sooner.
JetSuite pricing is subject to 4X year fuel adjustment and 2X year CPI-U adjustment. This is to avoid putting our fate out of our control.

I'm going with a lease with Executive Airshares. Very simple transaction and the aircraft are super clean and well cared for. With my flight activity I can utilize the day rate for at least 50% of my flights and be even less expensive than Avantair. (I've chosen to stop using the alternative name our of respect for the employees)
CEO is a finance guy, former CFO of a major corporation. Sales guy is a very senior aviation guy with more than 10 years in the fractional industry. Was very honest and open about what works and doesn't work about the program for me specifically. Didn't try to oversell me.

$6800/hr for an Excel??? If you're anyhwere east of the Mississippi river, I'd be happy to speak with you about your travel needs or answer any questions you may have about true airplane ownership costs. We've operated into Ocean Reef for the past ten years and would be glad to help.

I have spent twenty years in the fractional business, half taking Flexjet from 15 to 110 aircraft, and the last ten advising hundreds of share options. Some of your points about Executive AIrShare are a little wide of the mark. Their Phenom 300 fleet, for the next 1-2 years will remain small. I believe they only have one, right now, with one more entering the fleet this year. I'd count on flying in the Phenom 100. Also, while they charge by the day, they offer some interesting variants that can be turned into a workable schedule. My biggest concern is growth, and financial resources.

Executive AirShare currently has 9 Phenom 100s and 5 Phenom 300s as well as some Kingair 90s, Kingair 350s and Beechjets in the fractional fleet.
There are also a number of managed planes that operate under Part 135 up to Citation X's and a Hawker 4000.
