I just heard from a friend that sky limo just launched a previously VNR managed aircraft on a pilot training flight.

Good for them... I wonder who will get the next one up. I know they're working on a few in MCO.

Just saw that Chuck White (late of Avantair) is COO there now too. Apparently, they didn't dig too deep into his background or role at VNR...

His profile on their website is literally copied and pasted from his résumé.
He has also brought along a few of his cronies as well. I would stay far away from this place.

Question for the ex-Avantair folks: does the "SL" in the Avantair tail numbers stand for "Sky Limo," or did Sky Limo just conform its name to fit the "SL" tail numbers?

Question for the ex-Avantair folks: does the "SL" in the Avantair tail numbers stand for "Sky Limo," or did Sky Limo just conform its name to fit the "SL" tail numbers? I think its just a coincidence. Sky Limo actually started back in 1998.It was recently purchased by Sky One Holdings; Sky One Holdings was recently registered (8/19/2013) in Florida according to the Sunbiz.org website. Its state of incorporation is Delaware with its main office in LA. There is no evidence to say that Sky One Holdings has any relation to Avantair, but on the other side of the coin we cant say that there isn't . There seems to be a high number of ex-Avantair personnel working there.

SL stood for SkyLine. Steve's original aviation enterprise. The Sky Limo airplanes are being renumbered with MS tail numbers I believe (Mid South owns them....)

He worked hard and procured many of the QOL issues for the pilots. His hands were tied for most issues and you'll notice he lost his job twice while at Avantair. He opposed Fitzgerald, the 14/14 sched, firing certain elevator pilots, per diem cuts, tip receipt program Alison proposed and much much more. Life would have been MUCH worse if not for CW.
