In doing a deep dive to gather information about how to retrieve our plane we have spoken to a former Avantair pilot who reported several trips to the Cayman islands by steve santo, john waters, and kevin McCain. Seems like an odd time for a vacation by the three top execs when their business was crumbling, doesn't it??
remember, everyone is innocent until proven guilty. I make no accusations, just passing on information to the group.

While I can confirm that Steve has flown in a Piaggio to MWCR in the last 12 months John Waters has not worked for Avantair for at least 3-4 years. Kevin McCain is actually Kevin McKamey. It is entirely possible that both Steve and Kevin have used the TBM to fly to MWCR as it is blocked from tracking. It is also possible the Piaggio was used because the TBM was down for MX due to propeller issues mentioned elsewhere in the forum.
After the stand down Steve was able to somehow raise between 7 and 8 million dollars. Also after we raised that amount of money we barely paid any of our vendors, only the ones that threatened to hold our aircraft. That money has to be somewhere. I certainly urge the SEC and FBI to investigate.

I was personally assigned to fly Santo and his family to MWCR (Grand Cayman) not long before Avantair closed the doors. I was, however, unable to do the trip because the airplane broke earlier in the day, shocker.
That evening I was speaking to a fellow pilot at the hotel only to discover he had captained the flight that recovered this one. THis was 1-3 months prior to our shutdown.
