Dear Owners,
My name is Stan Gadek and my firm is TreadStohne Group which is an aviation consulting and advisory firm. Most recently I was President & CEO of Sun Country Airlines, a 737 NG Part 121 operator based in the Twin Cities. My full bio is shown on my LinkedIn page if you wish to review it.
I have been following the developments at AvantAir and the postings on this board and have to say that this is an extremely unfortunate situation for many parties, but in particular the aircraft owners. I believe I can help and have started this thread to communicate my plan and ask owners to contact me if they want further details.
The ultimate goal of the plan is to save, preserve, and return value to you for the investment in your asset. The key points are as follows:
1. Locate
2. Recover
3. Records
4. Restore
5. Return
I will share the details of these steps with owners who contact me and express interest in supporting my plan of action. Given sufficient support I intend to hire the relevant former maintenance, records, and operational people to accomplish this. I will also charge a monthly fee to fund the activity and there will be no guarantees of success. There will be full transparency and reporting at every step of the process.
What I commit to do is organize an effort that will strive to return your asset to you in an airworthy and documented status. Whether we accomplish that or not will depend on the individual owners funding the necessary work and clearing outstanding liens to reach that outcome.
This approach is not for everyone and is premised on the assumption that you are responsible for your asset regardless of the condition it is in. I believe that notwithstanding the legal arguments about who should pay for what and why you should not bear the costs, at the end of the day if you want to recoup any value from your investment you will have to accept this fact. You can always pursue your claims through the appropriate legal venue, but at least this plan will get you headed toward an outcome you control.
If you are interested in discussing this further please email me at stan.gadek@treadstohne.com.
Thank you for your consideration.
Stan Gadek
