While we are still looking to contact all of the owners of 395SS, we would also like to quickly point out to owners considering moving their aircraft to an operation similar to Avantair the main differences between fractionals and traditional third-party aircraft management companies. (And yes, this post is a solicitation for business.)
1) Managers like Elite Air would place your aircraft on their 135 certificate with no up-front special assessment and no long-term contract required. Fractional ownership entities typically require at least a five-year commitment.
2) Elite Air would manage your airplane alongside its existing fleet for the same monthly fee you are accustomed to paying, but your money would go only toward the operation of your aircraft, not toward the upkeep of the entire fleet, as is customary in fractional operations.
3) Your 50 hours of guaranteed flight time in your aircraft or a substitute would be available immediately upon contracting for management with Elite Air, even if your aircraft requires maintenance prior to being returned to service.
4) Your ownership entity would bear the cost of budget overruns in the course of maintaining service. This is critical to ensuring the long-term viability of the arrangement, which operations like Avantair have been unable to ensure.
Again, this post is intended for owners of Piaggio P180s. Our interest is in ensuring the success of all parties involved. We understand there are a number of disgruntled Avantair employees on this board, and we feel for their situation. In the end, we hope to get everyone working again as soon as possible. Please email sgibbs@eliteair.com or call 727-896-5880 if you would like to learn more about what we can do for you.
